This is the short version of the story about how ‘Ekahi was started…
‘Ekahi Design was founded in 2012 after I moved to Hawai’i Island to be with my daughter and soon to be granddaughter.
I moved here from Northern N.Y. – Wow, what a difference in a lot of ways but yet I found here the same laid-back lifestyle in a close-knit community I had left in my cold north small town. While Northern NY holds a place in my heart, I have grown to love Big Island and never want to leave!
During my career in New York state I worked for many small businesses and organizations mostly as a freelancer. I found a sense of satisfaction when I could help them label, package and promote their products and services, create websites and maneuver social media.
After moving to Hilo I kept working several of my clients from NY while also working with several businesses in Hawai’i. I created ads for KeOla magazine, continue to make labels and more for Pele’s Kitchen and Puna Gold Estate, manage the website for Keystone School in Honoka’a and more..
Through a network of amazing humans and a few great businesses both online and local we are able to offer services from website design and SEO to graphic design and printing.
We also offer personalized tee-shirts, hats, towels, mugs sweatshirts and more for your team or for great gifts.
